Constance Chen, MD, FACS
Constance Chen, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in innovative techniques for breast reconstruction to optimize medical and aesthetic outcomes for women. At her boutique surgical practice in New York City, Dr. Chen strives to help women make intelligent, educated choices to restore their body and health.
Constance M. Chen, MD, FACS, offers some of the most advanced procedures in breast reconstruction, including a variety of natural tissue (free flap) breast reconstruction surgeries and breast neurotization with ReSensation℠. Using the breast nerve repair technique, Dr. Chen can connect the nerves in the breast during free flap breast reconstruction, potentially leading to a gradual return of sensation.
For many women who have undergone past breast reconstruction with implants, I routinely perform ReSensation when replacing their implants with natural tissue breast reconstruction.
Loss of breast sensation deeply affects many women, patients voice hesitation or fear about undergoing a life-saving mastectomy because they are concerned about permanently losing sensation.
