Dr. Evan B. Katzel is a plastic surgeon at Penn Medicine in Princeton, Philadelphia and in Bucks County. He specializes in free flap (autologous) breast reconstruction and reconstructive microsurgery. He is an assistant professor of surgery in the division of plastic surgery at Penn Medicine, the largest free flap reconstruction center in the United States by volume.
Dr. Katzel offers Resensation®, a surgical technique used during free flap breast reconstruction to reconnect nerves in the newly formed breast with those in chest. Reconnecting the nerves using the Resensation technique has the potential restore sensation in reconstructed breasts.
